FAITH - Lord, help my children to fight the good fight of faith, taking hold of the eternal life to which they were called." 1 Timothy 6:12

Many more birthday's to you Eliot!! Prayers still coming from Arlington, TX Lisa Hartsfield

Hey there! I should have checked this last night. As the lady at Arsagus somehow confused my decaf order so I was up until 3:30am poking my eyeballs out or wanting to do so anways. I did use the time to pray, perhaps that is why God staged the "all-nighter" since I don't do that often enough, and of course Eliot was at the top of my heart. So you were not alone last night Matt and Ginny in your "awake time" nor were you in your prayer time. Thankful for you three...Much love and many prayers, JB

Dear Matt and Ginny,
I am a friend of Judie Myers-Ledbetter, your Mom's "soul mate" as she calls her and we work together at Merrill Lynch.
I have been following Eliot's progress since day 1 and I cannot tell you enough how much of an inspiration you are to me. This little baby is a gift from God and if you have given him back to Him, the Father will do what is best for Eliot. Of course, you are in our thoughts and prayers every day and I do believe in miracles. You already have seen many miracles and I truly believe you will see some more. You are blessing so many people with your faith in God and how you are sharing it. This little baby is an envoy of God.
May He continue to bless you!
Many hugs and kisses for Eliot, I wish we could hold him.

Good morning Eliot-

Wednesdays are now my favorite days, because all of us in Montana get to see your progress.

What a lucky boy you are to have parents like Matt and Ginny. You will never know how much you are loved-- but then again, do any of us?

Thanks for being you- we think you're perfect, and we're learning a lot just by watching you.

What an absolutely beautiful family! Gattle, you look exactly as I remember you (gorgeous and full of life and positive energy, of course). I am so glad you emailed all of us to tell us about Eliot. I only wish I had known sooner but no worries, my prayers now will make up for the time I missed. I am so proud of how strong you and Matt are--it is very humbling. I'll be looking forward to Wednesdays now to keep up with your precious blessing. Please know that I will always be here for you and your family will be in my prayers. Much love! Holley Johnson

Matt, Jenny, and Eliot-
I have just read through your website in tears, not because I am sad, but because I see the grace and faithfulness of the Lord woven throughout your lives and your journey over the last few months. I am encouraged by the miracle of Eliots life and I am so encouraged by your faith, Matt and Jenny. It is so true that sometimes the path God chooses for us in not what we would choose, but it is amazing the joy and peace only He can give when we walk through the valley of suffering. Thank you for sharing your story. I will look foward to wednesdays now too! Know there are more praying for you in Georgia!

Matt and Ginny,
I am a good friend of Travis and Christy (from Pine Cove) and have just learned about your precious Eliot. As a mother of 3, I am in awe of your faith and joy in the midst of such uncertainty. You are living witnesses that our Heavenly Father is the ultimate sustainer of life and joy and peace. Thank you for sharing your "lessons learned" with all of us. We are truly blessed by your efforts!

We'll be praying up a storm here in Dallas!

Matt & Jenny--
What a beautiful family photo! Happy Birthday Eliot! I am continually humbled to read your updates and wisdom; what love the Father bestows upon you daily! To arrange a surprise party--only God could come up with that so artfully!
I'm sitting here in my office looking at a placque that says it so well--"People see God every day; they just don't recognize Him..."
You are experiencing Him up close and personal.
With love, Kim Burton-Norman

What a beautiful way to look at life. I can't help but want to cry and rejoice at the same time! Your time with Eliot reminded me of my favorite saying from my cousin "life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning to dance in the rain". You and Matt have truly learned to "dance in the rain". You all have continued to be a blessing to me and I thank you for sharing your most precious time with us. God is truly teaching us all through your son. My prayer is that God will continue to bless you moment by moment with peace and strength and continue to perform miracles with Eliot. For those that do not believe in miracles, they haven't met Eliot! Can't wait until next Wednesday to hear what great things He has done.

I somehow found your blog (I'm a complete stranger) and just had to tell you I am praying for you two and Eliot. It's easy to tell what a blessing he is to you and to all who meet him. You offer us a poignant reminder that NONE of us are promised tomorrow and we must take JOY in each moment we are given. Thanks for sharing Eliot with us, and we are praying.

I always think of this verse when I look at my own special needs child:
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Psalm 139:13-16.

Hey Mooney Family,

We are friends of Cary Murphy. She requested our prayers for you and told us of your blog. I can't tell you how neat it is to follow Eliot's story. My husband and I are about 14 weeks pregnant, and we have had some complications to where we came close to losing the baby at the beginning. We are not out of the woods yet, but the baby is doing quite well. I've struggled with a lot of fear, and following your story has given me encouragement to trust God with this child's life. Or should I say God's faithfulness in your story has encouraged me... You've given us the idea to start a blog so our family and friends can know how to pray for our little one, too! Well, thank you for sharing your life with us, and you'll be in our prayers. Here's to many more bdays for Eliot!

Hello Eliot and family! I am a friend of Mandy's and heard all about you since the surpise announcement of your conception! I have a 7 month old boy of my own, who is a doll also! I only visit your blog every week or so because I am overwhelmed with emotions everytime I see your pictures. I would like to briefly explain that you and your Mom and Dad are a true picture of love and joy! I am uplifted by your spirits, faith, and true embrace of every moment with each other! I do pray for you all and know that God has you cradled in his arms. God Bless you! Happy Birthday! Gena Pierce, Ft. Smith, AR

Matt, it's been forever since I've seen or talked to you. I guess since our FSC days. I found out about your page from Judie Myers-Ledbetter. I come on here weekly and read your updates and I am amazed and uplifted each week by the faithfulness of our Lord. I cry every time I read your updates. Thank y'all for sharing your story with all of us and for reminding us how precious each and every day truly is. I will continue to pray for baby Eliot and for the two of you. God Bless!

It is so amazing how God seeks to teach us more about himself through the lives of those he chooses to bless...the humble, the little ones, the faithful, the grateful, and even the watchers. For those of us who watch and see the wonders of God through the glimpses you share with us we are indeed blessed. Ginny & Matt many will see and believe because they are watching you be faithful.

Eliot, you are making a difference in the kingdom of Christ because you are helping us see the work of God in your life. Thank you little man.
